Leica Geosystems Launches Leica Ready Program for John Deere K-Series Crawler Dozers

Leica Geosystems Launches Leica Ready Program for John Deere K-Series Crawler Dozers

Leica Geosystems is pleased to announce the extension of the Leica Ready Program to include the John Deere K-Series Crawler Dozers.  This initiative streamlines the install process for dealers and guarantees a quality installation for customers.

(Norcross, Ga., 7 June 2012) Leica Geosystems announced today that the Leica Ready Program is available for the John Deere K-Series crawler dozers.  The Leica Ready Program provides a big advantage to the dealer in that the machine is delivered with all brackets welded in place, wiring harness routed through the machine, and even some electronics installed.  When the dealer takes delivery of the Leica Ready dozer, they are left with two hours of installation time consisting of bolt on components, versus eight hours in the past to include welding and painting.

"Leica is proud to extend our Leica Ready Program to John Deere’s K Series crawler dozers, providing dealers the option of ordering a dozer that is already equipped with our world-class machine control systems," said Mike Reed, Business Manager Leica Geosystems Machine Control Division.

The Leica Ready Kits provide the ability for a dealer to have their customers working more efficiently and effectively in a shorter time period with their grade control system than in the past.  Nick Guadagnoli, Leica Geosystems OEM Business Development Manager, states, “The Leica Ready Program guarantees the installation is conducted to Leica’s guidelines and that strict quality standards are consistently met. We are happy to be able to extend the program to support John Deere’s latest crawler dozers.”

Guadagnoli continues, "Utilizing the Leica Ready Program will save Leica Geosystems Machine Control dealers significant time and money by eliminating shop time and the need for an expertly trained technician to do the full installation. This option becomes even more valuable during the busy months where dealers are working overtime to install and deliver Leica PowerGrade systems prior to delivering the machine.”
