Leica MobileMatriX

Avoid expensive re-measurements
Typos in the coordinates of the reference points, wrong tape measurements or GPS measurements without fixed ambiguities can result in a wasted day in the field. Expensive re-measurements are the result of these mistakes.
Additionally it is highly important in order to provide a productive fieldwork to give full flexibility to user while working with survey equipment. A technology is provided that allows to correct mistakes in the field without any additional costs or loss of time for the surveyor and GIS data collector.

Solution

The Floating Island concept, introduced with LEICA MobileMatriX, gives the user the full flexibility to change the order of traditional fieldwork – there is no need anymore to do orientation first and then side-shot measurements. Therefore as a consequence, the user always has the possibility to change the input parameter of his computations - e.g. coordinates of their reference points – in order to recomputed existing computations which maybe wrong, because of e.g. typos in his reference points. This functionality is provided thanks to  the technology of the Computation Network.
